A bit of a wait, however the food is great and tastes homemade.

This restaurant has great food and great prices. You large portions for your money and the wait staff is very friendly and considerate we tried to go there at least twice a month to me this is been the best cafe I've been to in the high desert no wonder they been voted best of the desert.

Both meals we ordered were tasty. We were able to get two vegetarian meals (although we did get a side of the sausage gravy that was amazing) that we're both satisfying. We will definitely come back again.

Food is amazing. Delicious and generous portions. Place is pretty small so it can be busy but staff is on point! Very attentive and friendly. They have actual coffee mug size. Something I factor in my reviews.

Early Bird Breakfast 6am-8am...so good. 4-5 options under $6. Perfect Portion plate is very good. Always have a good eating experience here. Friendly servers.

There is undeniably more to Love on the menu but I found my favorite. The first isn't the only highlight of the establishment the staff along with the prices are exceptional.

Great atmosphere and service. I ordered the Texas skillet and was a little disappointed. The potatoes were dry and the tri-tip was diced to the side of a pea. I did keep an eye out, and other dishes coming out looked delicious. I'm gonna give it another try for sure. They do offer a military discount for the service members but not their dependents. The portions were generous and the pricing was great. The location is a bit hidden, but really lovely.

I love this place. Small place but the plates of food are huge. The food is delicious. Their biscuits and gravy is one of my faves. This place has a nice atmosphere and a wonderful staff. I enjoy coming here.

This place has incredible food. Everything we have eaten here has been delicious. My favorites have been the Eggs Benedict and the Chicken Fried Steak. Make sure to get there early to snag a spot to be seated. It is known to draw a large crowd for the quaint spot.

My 1st time here at this great restaurant I came across online, looked at menu. Read yummy good, price looked fair. Located in great scenery. Workers , well kind, good service. Food and drink was great. Other customers nice, and restaurant was clean well inside and out.

Normally, this is a five-star place. Today was a disappointment. We were sat next to the toilets which we didn't want. I think we annoyed the staff by asking to move to a different table We were then ignored for a good 10-15 minutes. A regular bloody Mary was requested and one that was delivered was extremely spicy. Our new waitress didn't apologize just grabbed it and left and didn't offer to remake it in a better way. Our food took a while to get to us and while it was hot and pretty good that was the best part which was mediocre. There was no finesse, no cute quaint enthusiasm for us being there. Not sure we'll ever go back honestly. The five or six other times we've been here it's been very good. Very disappointed today. 3 stars were given because the portions were very good.

Spirit River Cafe is like going to your grandma's house for breakfast. You get whatever you want, with more food than you even need and the food taste so good it's hard not to try and clear your plate. I personally get the cinnamon roll french toast almost every time and I get it with a side of boysenberry syrup. The only draw back to this place is how busy they are. Sometimes there are long waits to get in, but the food always comes out relatively fast.

Delicious food and fast service

Loved the food here. It was homestyle, warm and delicious!! The service was quick and very friendly. They fill up quickly so you have to get there early for a seat and their early bird specials 6-8 a.m.I ordered the Vera Cruz omelette that has egg whites, pepper jack cheese and green chilies, yum! My sister ordered the Garden Skillet with sweet potato fries instead of homefries, double yum!! Come on down to the Spirit River Cafe your stomach will thank you!

This is one of the best places to get breakfast in the high desert. The place is a little bit small, and often crowded, but the wait is usually worth it. The food is excellent, and always done to near perfection. Everything is made from scratch, and the corned beef hash is super good! I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast.

Large portions and fresh food. The staff at Spirit River really work hard to make sure you have a great experience there. Fast, friendly service and good prices. One of the best places to eat in Apple Valley. Great breakfast! The food was great and people are nice. Worth the wait.

This place is small, hole-in-the-wall type place. A lot of seniors are here everytime I've come in. Staff is super friendly. I like that it's quiet. The food is really good, their fresh banana bread is delicious. Prices aren't outrageous.

It was ok for me. Food was too bland for my taste. The didn't cook the onions and peppers with the potatoes. You have to cook them together for flavor if you ask me. Super clean inside. Servers were on point.

Our favorite place for breakfast

The food and service are very good. We were seated close to the kitchen, noise from clanking dishes was distracting. I'm sure other parts are not as noisy.

We went to lunch on Sunday. It was out 1st trip here. There was a 20 minute wait but, well worth it! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. One of the plates came with a slice of banana bread. We had them grill it and added cream cheese. It was AWESOME!!! Waitress was friendly and efficient. We would come back here again and again...maybe just for another slice of bread!

I love the food there. The waitresses are Awesome. Sometimes there's a wait to get a table, but the wait is worth it!!!

Fantastic little place. Ambiance was awesome, classic & farm rustic. Staff here is great, everyone is smiling and happily willing to help. Food is amazing. Every time we go it gets better. Always the right temperature when it comes out and always cooked as ordered. Taste is perfect, couldn't ask for more.Great job!

Busy place on a Friday afternoon but we got right in. Friendly service. You can eat out in the courtyard if you want to bring your sun glasses and enjoy some sun. Otherwise there are tables inside too. Yummy food and fun lively ambiance.

I really enjoyed the cozy environment it has when you walk in. The staff was alright. Not very attentive to our table. I felt nauseous and ill after eating here.
